Hello everyone,
So my group and I created this blog the same day Mr. Zheng told us about the assignment, so we didn't really read the directions and so our blog started a bit off topic. However, rather than start a new one, I've decided to put a little twist in the meaning of our title. Basically, although free peoples think for themselves, having more control over their country's welfare and quality of life, free peoples also become free through education, and finding truths in this world that make contributions to one's thought process, perception and functionality in society. Simply connected to our topic, we are here to educate you, the viewers, to enable growth in your minds, and learn from you, the viewers, to allow ours to do the same. Learning about modern technology that is changing our world everyday is important, as much as some of us would rather write a letter the old fashioned way. It is important to be able to function, and have a positive impact on our surroundings. In order to accomplish that, we must learn of situations that are not familiar to us, and that is why we are taking this class, and observing the different presentations on computer technologies, faster web browsers, and cell phones etc. Our presentation on the Mac OS is to give an idea of where the technology is headed and what might be your choices/plans of action in the future. Hopefully we all will learn something after all the groups are done. This is the link to our presentation, so any one of you can see the last few slides we could not cover.
Later. ']

ReplyDeleteThe Microsoft operating system has dominated markets around the world for a very long time now. In November of 1985, Microsoft Windows released a series of software operating systems and graphical user interfaces and their popularity led them to become the leader in the world's personal computer market. But we feel the the market should be opened up to competitors. People are different, and therefore they need different choices to help them pick products that can fit their unique personalities. Freedom of choice, its beautiful right? And that's where the Mac OS comes in handy. For the people that love awesome graphics, and the sleek look, Mac is for you. The Mac system is mainly marketed towards the younger audience, like college crowds. It's great for people who love gaming or people that are interested in graphic design.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, the Mac Operating System is not that different from the Microsoft Operating system but Mac's is definitely more attractive. The Mac computers tend to have better and longer battery lives, and they are less likely to get viruses or get hacked into.
The Microsoft Operating system is the best in my opinion. Its user friendly, and compatible with everything that your professor might send for us college students. Have you ever had to e-mail a presentation that you created on a Mac and have it look different because the classroom uses Microsoft? Me neither, and I do not plan on being a victim of that problem. Microsoft Operating system is the only way to go. Yes, the Mac OS may come with a nicer shell, but Microsoft will catch up in the appearance later on, performance matters now.
